Marked

Louie Giglio gives an interesting illustration. He speaks about a ranch he visited, and the things he encountered there.  He explored the land and livestock, but the thing that stood out to him was the way the cattle got branded.  The owners of the ranch would heat up an iron and mark the side of the livestock with the ranch logo so that everyone would know what ranch the livestock belonged to.

This illustration resembles the way that Christians are marked by God.  His glory is like the hot iron, and the more time you let the glory of God sit on you, the more clearly others can see that you are marked.  You belong to God!  Many people try to simply tap God’s glory, just long enough to hear the sizzle, but not enough to truly leave a lasting mark.  At some point, you must dive into the glory of God and let the world see that you are marked by Him, and there is no turning back!

Today be encouraged to let the glory of God mark you to the point that people can’t help but see that you are living for God alone.  Sometimes that may seem like an intimidating encounter, but once you dive in, you won’t regret it!
